East Asian House is a service center for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitative commercial sex. The demographic the center will serve - women of Eastern Asian heritage who have worked in the sex trade, or sometimes referred to as message workers or escorts, have long been stigmatized. The organization looks at East Asian courtyard house typologies - the multi-use of corridors and courtyards; the different levels of enclosures and openness -  to create a sense of security and familiarity for the users, and more importantly, moments of solidarity, strength and joy.
